A richly detailed example of English majolica by Wedgwood, this striking plate features a vivid emerald green basketweave center, radiating with depth and dimension. The border is beautifully decorated with a repeating floral motif in cobalt, cream and ochre tones, creating a bold contrast against the saturated ground.

The reverse reveals a highly iridescent glaze with flowing tones of amber, green, and violet, a hallmark of majolica firing, along with the impressed Wedgwood mark, confirming its authenticity.

Both decorative and functional, this piece works equally well displayed on a wall, layered into a cabinet or used as a statement accent on a table. The craftsmanship and color saturation make it a standout addition to any majolica or English ceramics collection. Circa 1880s.
